Overrated?

Valentine's day.

A day of love?

It's that one day of the year that is stereotyped with the pink, red, roses, chocolate and romance. The whole world seems to celebrate this so called "holiday". Yet each person would have their own meanings and expectations of what the day is.

From what I see, Cairo isn't as festive as KL on this day. But you can still see shops by the streets with hearts and sign hung up saying "Happy Valentines". A memory of what the day was last year, people in HELP corridors bringing flowers and balloons. People either wearing pink or red (as it was agreed on the day before). The singles all celebrated this day all together.

Was chatting with a few people the other day and asking them what they're doing for this day. Suddenly came to a conversation with Simon about the day. We came to a conclusion that the day is too overrated. It is actually and everyone knows that. Yet secretly everyone still hopes in their heart that something special would happen on this day. Especially the people that are in a relationship. *hint*

O well, love isn't just for this day. People need to realise that. But hey, I guess people will always hope for that extra special on this day. As I do.

oh well, you cant force love, right? thats why some people's valentine's day just suck. you know the result of the day being overrated, it becomes corny. eww. like those "valentines day!!" screams of rose sellers, and then we'll go like "EW." instead of "yeay, spread the love!"

oh. i dont make any sense.
